Electrolytic manganese metal is the main material in producing trimanganese tetraoxide. It can also be used in stainless steel, high strength steel alloy, aluminium-manganese alloy, copper-manganese alloy etc. it is the important element in producing electric welding rod, ferrite, permanent magnetism alloy. It is also an element used in pharmaceutical. In recent years, the aluminium industry is also becoming the important consumer of manganese metal.

In steel industry, it can be used as material to oxigenate and desulfurize. Consumption quantity of electrolytic manganese for per metric ton steel is about 0.06kg.

Along with the progress in metallurgical industry, spray metallurgy and high effective stainless steel has developed further. The application sphere for electrolytic manganese metal powder is increasing, the consumption quantity increased gradually.

And along with the development of stainless steel, especially the 200 series austenitic stainless steel, the manganese metal has played a key role in the development of various steel making processes and its continuing importance is indicated by the fact that about 90% of all manganese consumed annually goes into steel as an alloying element.
